This is my story…

and it is true when one door closes another door opens.

My name is Tomas Vitanovsky and I was born in Czech Republic. I have always loved cars and motorbikes ever since I was a child and this passion has stayed with me all through my life. When my successful motorcycle stunt career ended due to injury I spent a lot of time tuning and fixing bikes to earn a living. It was during this time, in my workshop surrounded by chains and ball bearings that I had a vision; I was throwing out some used engine parts from a motorbike I had finished and I suddenly got the idea of welding them together. This became a pivotal moment in my life and bearings, gears, chains and outlets began to transform into animals, beetles, cars and bikes.

Over time my techniques has not only improved and become more complex, but I have discovered many new ways to bring the life like quality that many of my recent works have been appreciated for.  I love it when an image pops up in my mind and I have to find the right scraps to bring it to reality. Once it is finished I get an immense feeling of fulfilment and pride and I often find it hard to let my creations go.  All my pieces are mainly made from recycled car and motorbike parts with some special bits discovered in car boot sales or flea markets. The high-wattage UGI welding technique I use for my sculptures is difficult and dangerous, I get an adrenaline buzz from process and find that this partly replaces the lost rush since retiring from motorcycle stunt riding.
By combining my love for art and the ''moto'' world I create sculptures that are appreciated for their unique appeal and personal style. Once you fall in love with motorbikes it stays with you for life…..Welcome to my world!
