A few months back I was contacted by a team of doctors from surgery in Scotland... They had a very special request, they wanted me to create a small sculpture as a memorial for their friend and colleague Dr Robbie Murphie who had died tragically in motorbike accident.
They said Robbie loved both motorbikes and cats so they decided to connect those two together to create the memorial. After few sketches, Robbie's friends and family decided that the sitting cat was the right one and few months later Cleopatra was born!
The sculpture now proudly sits in the surgery where Robbie once worked, for all to see and remember him...
This was such a unique and special commission I was truly honoured to be given this opportunity, and, hand on heart, I think it's fair to say it's one of my favourite pieces....
